8:30 am: Mini-Gator Meet

This is a very fun meet to learn about how swim meets work, encourage your young swimmer, and celebrate progress they have made in the water this summer. All mini-gators are eligible for a kickboard race. A few other races may be held based on swimmer ability/interest as well. There will be a small awards ceremony at the end of the meet so please stick around after the meet for your swimmer to receive a medal and be recognized by their coaches. The grill will be set up to raise money for swim team.

We encourage all our swim team members to come out and support this event!  We need lots of volunteers of all ages to learn what our parents do to make an even run smoothly!  PLEASE VOLUNTEER!

Reminder: Adult Workouts

Adult workouts are Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 am. All levels and all abilities are welcome. Guidance provided by Hugh McGee. It’s a peaceful way to start the day with a solid workout and enjoy a quiet pool.

Sustainability

Camp 4-Ever Greene is a small sustainability camp that is run within our very community. The camp teaches our children that you are never to young to make change happen. Their project for this summer involves all of us. There will soon be well-marked collection bins located by the trash and recycling cans at our pool. Camp 4-Ever Greene has teamed up with a company named TerraCycle. TerraCycle takes trash that has been thought of to not be recyclable and recycle those very items. As a first step, our campers will be collecting fruit squeeze pouches (such as go-go squeeze) and drink pouches (such as honest company or capri sun). Please be on the lookout for these bins and consider placing these items in them rather than just throwing them away. For more information about terracycle and their programs, please look here: https://www.terracycle.com/en-US
