If you’ve never timed, you can learn this Saturday.
The team picture is for the entire swim team – Mini-Gators and Gators. Be at the pool in your team suit or team shirt and ready by 7 am.
Order forms will be distributed when you arrive. Count on the Gator Grill for breakfast and coffee.
Notes for Parents: Swimmers will be assisted by coaches to form a line and get into formation for team photo. Individual and/or family pictures are available, too.
What is a Time Trial?
Time Trials are an opportunity for swimmers to race under competition rules to record a time in a given stroke and distance. This event is for all registered lap swimmers, from 8 and under through 18.
Why do we hold time trials?
- To introduce swimmers to competition.
- To set a benchmark times
- To highlight areas of improvement for a given swimmer to the coaches
Who do we swim against?
Coaches will divide our Gators into two teams: TEAM GREEN and TEAM BLACK
- Warm ups start at 8:00 am.
- Time Trials start at 9:00 am
- Time Trials are run like a normal Saturday A meet, with IMs instead of relays.
- The order of events is (1) free, (2) back, (3) breast, (4) butterfly and (5) Individual Medley (IM).
IF YOUR SWIMMER WILL NOT BE AT TIME TRIALS PLEASE LET THE COACHES KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
