Our neighbors the SHRA Sharks are the visiting team for this season’s last “B” meet tonight.
A couple of notes about this B meet:
- The official meet time is 6:00PM. Our warm up starts at 5:00PM. We will have unassisted kickboard and assisted freestyle at this event.
- Our pool will close for our “B” meet set up at 4:00PM. Feel free to ask the coaches (or me) what needs to be done as we put set up the flags, chairs, bleachers, lane lines, clerk of course and so forth. We need your help if you are available.
- All attending swimmers need to be at our pool in our team area and ready begin warm ups (caps and goggles on) no later than 4:45PM.
- Please note, our order of events will be a bit different. We will start with IM, then hold unassisted kickboard, assisted freestyle, freestyle, back stroke, breast, and conclude with butterfly. Young swimmers must be able to legally swim all four strokes before attempting this event. If unsure check with your coach.
- Last check we still needed volunteers for ALL of our jobs (timers, concessions and so on). This is a great opportunity for service, plus you get a front row view of all the action! Step up, don’t be shy. https://www.foresthollow.com/volunteers/
- Please advise your swimmer to STAY IN THE TEAM AREA. Coaches have expressed difficulty locating swimmers in time to get them to the clerk of course. I have witnessed young swimmers upset because they missed their swim. You may want to bring their food and drinks to them.
- No “time only” swims will be allowed. If you placed in this weeks “A” meet you need to swim your remaining strokes. We want our swimmers consistent at all four strokes.
- Let’s be gracious hosts and leave them as much parking as possible. If you can, please walk or carpool to the meet. Parking is NOT permitted on Old Columbia Road. You will be towed.
