We will have our next “B” meet Monday, June 22, 2015 with our neighbors at Sleepy Hollow Bath and Racket Club (SHBR).
This “B” meet is away, SHBR at 3526 Sleepy Hollow Road, Falls Church, VA 22044. The Gator caravan will leave our pool promptly at 4:50PM. If you are driving directly, all attending swimmers need to be at the SHBR and ready to jump into the pool (caps and goggles on) by 5:20PM. The meet starts promptly at 6:00PM.
- No kickboard or assisted swim events will be held at this meet.
- The order of events will be freestyle, back stroke, breast, butterfly and then IM. Young Gators, please do not try to swim an IM until you are confident that you have mastered all 4 strokes. Parents check with coaches if you need verification for you swimmers.
- Last check we still needed several volunteers for ALL of our jobs. As usual we will need 9 timers, 2 stroke and turn officials, 2 marshals, 2 clerk of course and our own table workers. Volunteer at https://www.foresthollow.com/volunteers/
- Your swimmers should bring a least 2 towels and or a blanket. Bugs will be out so bug spray is also an option. Also be aware that their parking lot is very small so you will likely have to park in the neighborhood and walk to the pool. Allow extra time for this.
- Make sure your swimmer has clear goggles for B meets. We had some issues last meet with tinted goggles once it became dark. Rain delays are unpredictable.
The SHBR grill will be open and ready to serve you delicious burgers, dogs and other delicious treats (pizza I think)! Come hungry!
